Oh hey!
Look at me on time with my Weekly feature, three cheers for me!
I love this quote and it links into one of my resolutions for this year, to take more opportunities and say 'yes' to them!
If you are on the edge of saying 'yes' to something then my advice would be to take it with both hands and take the chance. As this, if I say so myself, rather lovely presented picture says. I do certainly think that by saying 'yes' you are going to be gaining a lot more; and hey, you never know where that 'yes' may take you. Opening doors leads to opening more doors and that could lead to anything.
So go one, take the chance, the leap, the risk if you will and prove to everybody and more importantly yourself that you can do it!
Hope you all have a lovely week ahead of you and don't forget, you can always check out my other Weekly Feel Good Quotes if you're feeling a little down!

Weekly Feel Good Quote #2
Hi everyone!
Firstly again I would like to apologise for my lack of posts and lack of sticking to my schedule I posted on twitter, revision for A Levels has been so intense recently and I don't want to be writing blog posts when I'm in the middle of all of that and just rushing them; instead I prefer to take my time over these posts and make sure they're the best they can be, hopefully you'll all understand!
So, my essay of an apology aside, I would like to welcome you back to Weekly Feel Good Quote!
I'm going to guess that around this time of year everybody is looking back at the resolutions they made on the 31st December 2013 and realising that they may not be fully accomplishing them, I know I am! One of mine was that I wanted to eat healthier and I know that I've let that slip a few times. Here's my advice, first off, don't worry if you are not on the ball 100%, everybody is allowed a few slips here and there and one of my favorite sayings is that 'everything is good in moderation'. If you wanted to stop eating junk food altogether then maybe alter it to eating more healthier food. If you wanted to keep on top of all of your work then maybe write a plan for each week?
I think my main point is that if you want to achieve something then you need to work for it, that doesn't mean however that you have to forget everything else and focus all your efforts onto one particular thing.
Many little steps make giant leaps and each little step you take you should feel proud of!
Don't forget as always to give me a follow on Bloglovin and leave any comments below. Feel free to advertise your blog below in the comments too as I would love a good read!

Weekly Feel Good Quote #1
Hi there!
Right, I have tried and failed at something like this before and this time I am determined to keep it up. Welcome to my Weekly Feel Good Quote!
http://mypinkvisions.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/everything-happens-for-reason.jpg?84cd58 |
Don't worry yourself over anything that has happened recently because chances are in the long run you will look back and find the good in it. Just sit back and take a minute, find the good in the situation now rather than later to help yourself along!
See you soon!

It's a New Year!
Well hi there and welcome to the first blog post of 2014, exciting stuff!
Now, first off I want to apologise for the lack of blogging towards the end of 2013, as some of you know I'm in Sixth Form and I've been so, so busy with everything I just never seemed to have the time. This year I want to make sure I do make the time, primarily this blog was based on beauty reviews and I certainly want to carry that on however I also want to bring in some new ideas, maybe some fashion and a lot more lifestyle?
So, to begin the year what better way than with some New Year's resolutions! Here are mine...
* Try to cut back on the amount of sugary foods - I am a BIG sweet tooth and this year I'm going to try to cut back a little bit, emphasis on the 'little bit', on sugary treats. I'm going to try to switch them with fruit or something a bit healthier. If you have any healthy tips/recipes that might help then please share!
* Say 'yes' to every opportunity that comes my way - I love trying new things and saying 'yes' to every opportunity will definitely allow me to try a lot more different things to normal. Why don't you all try the same?
* Try to adventure out on more days out - Having a good day out is something I LOVE and this year I'm going to try to plan some day trips with friends and family, any good ideas on places to visit?
What are all your New Years resolutions, any similar to mine?
Now I have a question, I know my blog at the moment is quite a small part of the internet and I would love for it to become bigger this year. Does anyone have any tips or ideas for my blog which you think may improve it (I will welcome any constructive criticism!). Also does anyone have anything in particular they would like me to blog about?
Don't forget as always to give me a follow on Bloglovin and leave any comments below. Feel free to advertise your blog below in the comments too as I would love a good read!

Got 2 Be Texturizing Salt Spray
Hi there!
I have been wanting a salt spray for ages and here it is, the Got 2 Be Texturizing Salt Spray! I got this a while back and have been meaning to blog about it for ages.
I love the effect it gives you in minutes, if not seconds. It is so easy to apply and lasts all day. Make sure you grab yourself one today!
Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
Hi there!
I was so excited about this purchase that I am guilty of opening and using it before I took photos, sorry! I kept the packaging though so I could pretend, better than nothing eh!
So go on, treat yourself!
VO5 Pump it Up Backcombing Spray
Hi there!
Recently I purchased and have absolutely loved since the first spray of it, the VO5 Pump it Up Backcombing Spray.
I love, love, love it! It certainly gives your hair a lot more volume and is a lot less damaging (well, not damaging at all) than actual backcombing.
Make sure you grab yours today as VO5 are on 2 products for £5 at the moment!

Glamour Magazine & An Amazing Freebie!
Hi there!
The other day I was wondering through Wilkinsons (as you do) and came across their magazine section. It's been a while since I bought any magazines and felt in the mood for a good beauty mag.
Glamour was only £1 at the time - despite the front cover saying £2, you can imagine my excitement at the till, haha! - and it had a free Kate Spade nail vanish worth £11! How can you say no? Well, you can't.
And can I just apologise now for my chipped nail vanish, I can assure you I've now got the lovely Kate Spade on and it looks brill!
Make sure you pick up your December issue!

New Look Jewellery Haul
Hi there!
Can you call something a haul if you've only bought a couple of things? Probably not but I'm going to anyway. I recently went into New Look and spotted these lovely pieces of jewellery, they were only cheap so I just couldn't resist!
All of the rings were from one 8 pack of rings and I love how they can all match with each other to create loads of different looks. The bracelet has a tie at the back which tightens to the size of your wrist, this is really good for me as I can never find any bracelets that fit my wrist without constantly falling off!

St Moriz Self Tan Review
Hi there!
So winter is on its way in which means the summer tans are on their way out. Fortunately I have picked up some St Moriz Self Tan. I have got the wash off face tan which is the liquid cream and also the instant self tanning mist for my arms.
I absolutely love, love, love the spray version. It gives you such a natural looking tan! You can gradually take it darker by applying another layer or for a super natural look just leave it at one layer.
On the other hand is the face fake tan, don't get me wrong it does do a good job it's just not one of my favorites. I've never tried a face fake tan and maybe it's just my skin tone but the colour just doesn't seem to match properly.
And to make sure an even and non-streak tan is achieved make sure you grab yourself one of these!
Thanks for reading and as always let me know in the comments if you have tried these and tell me what you thought!

Hi there!
I recently bought some Rimmel products, Superdrug have 3 for 2 at the moment on all cosmetics and I thought I would make the most of it. I haven't tried Rimmel before but have heard such good reviews that I just had to try them out.
I will make sure I do reviews on each of the products once I've tried them out a few times too!

Stationary Haul and Revision Tips
Hi there!
So it's been absolutely ages since I last posted and I've really missed blogging regularly, I'm going to have to make sure I keep it up more lately! Anyway, I thought I would blog about something today I haven't done before and I know for a lot of people this will not be their type of read but I love reading posts like this so thought I'd give it a go.
Some of you might not know but I am currently in Sixth Form and I'm studying Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I've also recently applied to study Medicine at University so you can probably already guess a lot of my time is spent revising. For some people I know revision is a bit of a bore but there are plenty of ways to make it a bit more bearable.
One way to make revision a bit more enjoyable is to have a good supply of stationary and if I am really honest, I love to go out and buy loads of the stuff! I recently went on a bit of a stationary haul and thought I'd share with you what I bought, some of the below I already had from last year but I thought I would include them anyway as I still use them.
These few bits are great unessential additions to your stationary collection. Having new equipment definitely in my opinion makes revision funner and I love all the different revision techniques you can use with these few bits. Sticking sticky notes all over your bedroom wall, making revision flash cards to read just before exams and highlighting any important information.
And finally in my opinion the essential few bits that you need for pretty much all revision. Again though you can make it your own by buying patterned folders and notebooks.
And there you have it, my stationary haul that completed my stationary collection. Now onto some revision tips. I'm sure a lot of you are in school or college or maybe University and revision is something which is important. I personally don't mind revising and the satisfaction of knowing you have done as much as you could have when it comes to the exams is something I enjoy.
Here are some of my top revision tips:
* Pace yourself - make sure you don't spend hours on revision with no breaks, sometimes having a break is just as important as the revision
* Plan your revision - making a revision planner sounds dull but it certainly helps organise what you need to be doing and when
* Vary your revision techniques - unless there is only one technique that works for you then make sure you mix it up a bit. Read and write notes out, do exam questions and make posters and revision cards
* Use the stationary you buy - make use of the little things you buy, like the post it notes, use them in different ways and find the best way that works for you
* Find a good environment to work in - do you prefer music or no music? Silence or background noise? It's important to work in an environment that is best suited for you
* Reward yourself - whether this is regular breaks or having something nice to eat like chocolate and sweets ready for you when you finish. Make sure you have something to look forward to when you have finished
And there you have it, my stationary haul and revision tips. Sorry if this isn't for you! If you have found this useful then please let me know in the comments and if you have any extra revision tips that work for you then I would love to know them!

15 Beauty Questions | Tag
Hi there!
So I was looking through the blogs I follow on Bloglovin and came across a beauty questions tag and thought it looked like a lot of fun. I had a quick look online and picked out some beauty questions from different tags I wanted to answer, so here they are!
6.) False or natural eyelashes?
I love, love, loveeee false eyelashes but don't wear them regularly because they tend to irritate my eyes when on.
7.) Liquid, pencil or gel eyeliner?
All 3 haha! I use liquid or gel on my top lid and pencil on the bottom.
8.) If you had to wear only one make-up product what would it be?
I think I'd pick mascara, applying even the smallest amount of mascara can really brighten up your whole face!
9.) Natural or dramatic eye make-up?
Oooh, I don't know! I think it depends on where you're going and don't laugh at how silly this is but also the weather! If its a hot sunny day and you're going to a day out in the sun then definitely a natural look but if its autumn/winter and its a meal out then I think dramatic.
10.) What moisturiser do you use?
I use a Nivea moisturiser which I have been using for ages now, I love it!
11.) Do you enjoy using face masks?
I've been trying to use more face masks, I've got 2 superdrug ones, one is an exfoliating one which I've been loving, especially as its raspberry smelling!
12.) Is most of your make-up neutral or colorful?
Most of its neutral, I don't tend to use a lot of colorful eye make-up however I do use bright lip sticks!
13.) Would you rather apply lipstick for eyeliner or eyeliner for lipstick?
This one made me think so much when I saw it so I had to put it in. I think I'd prefer to use eyeliner for lipstick because I can imagine putting lipstick on your eyes is going to sting.
14.) What was your first make-up item?
The first make-up item I remember was something from Avon which I ordered and it was some lipglosses, one clear and one a pale pink and some cream eyeshadows.
15.) Do you like to stick to a make-up routine using the same products or mix it up a bit?
I do stick to a make-up routine just because I'm usually rushing around in the morning, maybe if I left myself some more time I'd try something different. I do try to buy different brands though to mix it up a bit because I love to try new things!
So there you have it, my first ever tag! If you've enjoyed this post, have any other tags you think are fun to answer or have done one yourself then let me know below!
Now for the people I tag to also do this, I love all of these blogs and recommend you go and check all the posts out and give them a follow!

So I was looking through the blogs I follow on Bloglovin and came across a beauty questions tag and thought it looked like a lot of fun. I had a quick look online and picked out some beauty questions from different tags I wanted to answer, so here they are!
1.) Do you apply your foundation with a brush, sponge or fingers?
Right, I know this is probably really bad but I just use my fingers! I have tried using a sponge and really didn't find it any easier, in fact it just seemed to absorb all the foundation and nothing went on my face so returned to using my fingers. I have actually been looking into buying some make-up brushes and a foundation brush by Real Techniques is top of the list!
2.) What foundation do you use?
At the minute I'm actually using a sample version of Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation which I'm really impressed with, it is however on the pricey side. I usually wear a Collection foundation which I feel does the trick and is on the cheaper side, I'm one of those people that feel there is really no point in splashing out on expensive make-up when a cheaper version does the same. I will admit, yes the Estee Lauder lasts longer and produces a more natural colour tone however after the sample has ran out I don't think I'll be buying the real thing.
3.) Concealer or foundation first?
This is a question I have been asking myself for ages and still don't know the real/correct answer however I always apply concealer first. This means I may not need to use as much foundation as I thought.
4.) On average how long does it take for you to do your make-up?
On a normal day it usually takes no longer than 20 minutes and most of that time goes on applying mascara. I really love thick and long lashes and applying many coats seems to do the trick, so that's what takes up most of the time!
5.) Do you wear makeup everyday and everywhere?
I wear make-up most days but certainly not everyday. If I'm not planning on going anywhere exciting and just taking the dog for a walk or popping out to the shops I usually don't apply any and if I do then its the tiniest amount its not worth it. I try to have make-up free days to give my skin a bit of a break. Obviously I love applying make-up however feel having days where you don't wear any can benefit you a lot.6.) False or natural eyelashes?
I love, love, loveeee false eyelashes but don't wear them regularly because they tend to irritate my eyes when on.

New Look Fashion Look 01 | Ideas
Hi there!
I was looking through New Look website the other day and came across this blogging idea.
I absolutely love New Look, I think all their clothes are on trend, good quality and fit really well. Lots of shops now days have clothes with really odd fitting clothes I feel, however New Look always seem to have a range of sizes which fit perfectly.
I've come up with a variety of different outfits, some of which I'd love to wear myself and others which I still like however are not my usual picks. I thought I'd start off with something I absolutely love!
1 - Blue Acid Wash Skinny Genes
£22.99
2 - Grey and Black Aztec Long Sleeve Crop Top
£12.99
3 - Parisian Black Fur Collar Bomber Jacket
£44.99
4 - Gold Cut Out Sandblast Cuff
£5.99
5 - Black Caged Platform Wedges
£29.99
This outfit is something which I would really love to buy, I love days where skinny genes and a casual top are all you need. The jacket gives the look a bit more of an edgy feel and the wedges can be swapped with flat shoes if you prefer. The whole outfit comes in at just over £115 which when you put it that way I know sounds a lot. However each of the parts of the outfit can be used with other pieces of your wardrobe, not just necessarily for this look. The jacket is the piece of clothing which brings the price up however this is obviously optional.
I have more outfits from New Look ready to blog about so keep a look out!
Don't forget to comment as I love to hear what you think, if you have any of these pieces from New Look then show me how you wear them too! Also follow me on Bloglovin!
All of these images are from the New Look website (the links will bring you to the product where the picture will show) however I made them into the collage. All prices right on 18/09/13

Cambridge University Summer School Day 4 and 5 | Lifestyle
Hi there!
So I thought it would be better for me and for you reading if the last 2 days were squished into one post. I did take lots of photos and have a lot of other peoples photos saved onto my laptop of us all on the last few days however didn't want to post them onto my blog without asking permission, so therefore thought it would be easier to just miss the photos out with any other people in them.
On Thursday which was the 4th day we again had some lectures, I think these were the most interesting, they covered nerves and how they work, medical ethics and whether being old and fat is evolution fault. To finish the day, the nights activity was a formal dinner, we were put into a seating plan which again allowed us to mix with even more people we hadn't spoken to during the week and it finished with a disco back at our college we were staying at. The dinner on this night was so, so, soooo nice! At first look of the menu made me go a bit 'argh, I'm not going to eat anything!', we had duck for our main which was my first time trying it, I'm glad I did give it a go because I absolutely loved it!
At the formal dinner table |
On our last day it was planned that we would present our presentation, I was a little nervous at the thought of this but once I got up there I was 100% fine. We then had an administration talk and lunch.
After the walk to the train station with all our luggage it was time to say goodbye to all the friends I had made whilst there. I really didn't expect to make such good friends in just a week, everyone there I can truly say I will miss and I'm glad that we have things like Facebook and other social networking sites to keep in contact. The train journey home went well and I couldn't wait to get to the station to see my family.
And there you have it, my week at Cambridge University summed up. I still feel so grateful I got the chance to experience this amazing opportunity. If anyone reading this ever gets the chance to apply to one of these summer schools and is debating whether or not to, my advice would simply be just apply and give it a go. I was super excited about this as soon as I knew I got in and I know that anybody else who does will feel exactly the same way.
Thanks for reading and don't forget to follow me via Bloglovin and also check out my other posts.
I've blogged from Day 1 to Day 3 individually so have a look at those too!
There's going to be a new beauty post within the next week so keep a look out!
Superdrug Virtual Haul
Hi there!
I regularly look through Superdrug website adding endless amounts of wanted (maybe not always needed) make-up and accessories to my basket. After then seeing a blog post from another beauty blogger showing her basket from Superdrug of make-up products she wants, I decided to give it a go!
I'll be honest, when I started adding products to my basket I didn't realise quite how much I was adding, it had got up to almost £100 so thought it was about time to cut it down a bit. Somehow I managed to half the price right back to below £50, still a lot of money to spend on un-needed make-up but hey, this can be a sort of wish list for me I suppose!
Barry M Kohl Pen 2 Black: Now I know I said that most of the things I added to my basket were not actually needed but this one is one of the ones that is. My eyeliner at the moment is running right down and I think as the cooler seasons come I'll be wearing pencil liner a lot more. I do wear eyeliner during the summer however feel that warmer weathers tend to make eyeliner more susceptible to smudging. Barry M is also one of my favorite make-up brands ever so picking this was an easy choice, especially at only £2.99.
Barry M Lip Lacquer Crayon 4 Party Pink: As soon as I saw this I knew it was going in my basket to stay. I absolutely love this color and can imagine the powerful pigment it will give you. Again a Barry M product that I couldn't resist at the price of £4.99.
Barry M Nail Paint 136 Tangerine and Barry M Nail Paint Gold Mine Glitter: At £2.99 Barry M nail paints are my favorite nail polish brand, I have started up a little collection of Barry M Nail Paints and plan to add many, many more!
Barry M Wink Marker Pen For Eyes: The last of my Barry M products is the felt liner. I've seen this a few times in Superdrug stores and always opted for something else for reasons that I really don't know! However I would really love to try this and being £4.59 its certainly on the cheaper end of felt eyeliners.
Sleek Blush Flamingo: The last product of this post is a Sleek blusher, this seems like a really lovely and complimentary color, its only £4.49 and seems like a blusher that would last a while.
I really hope you've enjoyed this post as I've never tried anything like it before, I've definitely loved going through the Superdrug website clicking away and adding endless amounts of make-up to my basket. Hopefully this will act as my wish list and as I buy the products I can review and share what I think of them with you.

Collection Concealer Lasting Perfection Light: Collection is again a favorite make-up brand and this concealer has been raved about by so many beauty YouTubers and bloggers I really need to give it a go. I think this might be one of my next concealers I buy. Collection have one of the cheapest yet brilliant range of products, this is only £3.69 at the moment!
Maybelline Baby Lips Balm Minty and Cherry Me: Again another product which has high ratings from beauty YouTubers are these lip balms. They are 2 for £5 so grab them while you can!
Real Techniques Foundation Brush: I have needed a foundation brush for absolutely ages, at the moment (skip the next bit if you're a serious make-up guru!) I just use my fingers. I know these brushes are a little more expensive, this is £8.99 however I have heard some really, really great reviews about this range.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation True Ivory and Rimmel Stay Matt Pressed Powder Peach Glow: I thought I'd put these 2 together as well, I feel they go together really! Again more raved about products I would love to try. The foundation is £8.99 and the powder £3.99 although at the minute they are buy one and get the second half price so go, go, go!Sleek Blush Flamingo: The last product of this post is a Sleek blusher, this seems like a really lovely and complimentary color, its only £4.49 and seems like a blusher that would last a while.
